Three Ways to Engage Thanin Legal
Each service is designed for a different stage of a pension matter. Clients often begin with a counsel session; others come to us already mid-process and need preparation or full court representation.

How We Approach Each Matter
Every engagement begins with the file, not with assumptions. We read what exists — decisions, notices, scheme rules, correspondence — before offering any view on what may be possible. This approach takes slightly longer at the outset but avoids the misdirection that can result from proceeding on an incomplete understanding of the record.
For clients who have already received an unfavorable decision, the first question is whether that decision contains any procedural or substantive vulnerabilities. If it does, and if the client wishes to pursue the matter, we explain what the process will involve, what we will need from them, and what the realistic range of outcomes might look like.
For clients preparing for an upcoming hearing, the focus shifts to the strength of the position they will present — and whether the way it is framed and documented is likely to be persuasive to the decision-maker concerned.
File Review
All available documents — decisions, scheme rules, correspondence — are read in full before any assessment is offered.
Honest Assessment
We identify vulnerabilities, strengths, and realistic outcomes — and communicate these clearly, including where the position is weak.
Preparation or Representation
Depending on the service selected and the stage of the matter, we prepare documentation, position statements, or full court pleadings.
Sustained Communication
Written updates follow every substantive development. The client always knows the current status and the next step.
Service One
Short Pension Counsel Session
฿2,100 · Fixed Fee · Single Engagement
A single, calmly paced session in which the client and counsel review the pension file together and identify the most appropriate next step. Particularly suited to clients who have recently received an unfavorable decision and would benefit from a measured, professional perspective before responding.
The session concludes with a written summary of the counsel's view — a document the client may retain regardless of whether they choose to engage further.
What Is Included
- Review of the client's existing file and documentation
- Identification of procedural or substantive vulnerabilities in the decision received
- Clear explanation of available next steps and their likely implications
- Written summary of counsel's assessment, retained by the client
- No obligation to proceed further following the session
Best suited for: clients who have received a decision and are weighing their options before responding or appealing.
Arrange a Counsel SessionService Two
Pension Hearing Preparation
฿9,500 · Fixed Fee · Per Hearing Engagement
Preparation for an upcoming administrative or tribunal hearing, including evidentiary review, drafting of position statements, and a mock walk-through of the hearing process. The aim is to allow the client to attend the hearing well-prepared and at ease, even where they may choose to present in person without a legal representative at the table.
This service is particularly relevant for clients appearing before the Social Security Appeals Committee or a labour officer — settings where the client is the primary presenter and the quality of preparation matters considerably.
What Is Included
- Full evidentiary review — what supports and what weakens the position
- Drafting of a written position statement for submission to the hearing body
- Identification and organisation of supporting documents
- Mock walk-through of the hearing format and likely questions
- Written briefing note for the client to refer to on the day
Best suited for: clients with an imminent administrative or tribunal hearing who wish to attend well-prepared, with or without in-room representation.

Service Three
Full Court Mandate with Continuity
฿10,200 · Fixed Fee · Full Mandate
A full mandate for pension defense in Labour Court and, where applicable, the Court of Appeal. Continuity is preserved by assigning a single senior advocate as lead through every stage of the matter, supported by a small dedicated team. Communication is steady, regular, and respectful of the client's preferences.
For clients who have exhausted administrative remedies, or who have received a first-instance court decision and wish to appeal, this service provides comprehensive representation without the disruption of advocate changes mid-proceeding.
What Is Included
- Single named senior advocate throughout all proceedings
- Full Labour Court pleadings preparation and filing
- In-court representation at all hearings
- Court of Appeal mandate (where applicable and within agreed scope)
- Written update after every hearing and significant development
- Communication in preferred format (written, telephone) and at preferred frequency
Best suited for: clients who have exhausted administrative options and require full court representation in the Bangkok Labour Court.
